Getting started, keeping things safe, and making Lissle yours.

Get Lissle on iPhone or the web

Download Lissle free from the UK App Store for iPhone, or use the website in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Sign in with the same Lissle account to access your saved lists and cards. Background store reminders need the iPhone app.

Start with a list

Open Lissle and choose “Start your first list”. Add one item, or separate a few with commas. Tick them off as you go. Tap a heart to save something you buy often; it will be waiting in Favourites.

Add shopping items by voice

Tap the microphone on a supported device, allow access and say one shopping item at a time. Pause briefly after each item so Lissle can add it automatically. Tap Stop when you have finished and check your list for anything that was misheard. You can also say “comma” or “next item” to separate items. If voice input is unavailable, you can always type.

Keep your things across devices

A guest profile is tied to this browser or installation. In You, create a free account before removing the app or clearing browser data. Your existing guest lists and cards stay with that account. Signing in to a different account shows that account’s data.

Share a list

In Lists, choose Family or Party and create a list. Share its private invitation code with someone you trust. They enter it in the matching tab. Everyone who joins can add, tick and remove shared items. Keep the code private. Leaving a list keeps it available to the other people.

Report or block

On a Family or Party list, tap the flag beside an item, choose a reason and send your report. Report a list name from Invite & manage. Reported items are hidden from your view while Lissle reviews the concern. You can also contact hello@lissle.com.

To block a person, open Invite & manage and choose Block beside their member label, or choose Block this member from an item’s report screen. Confirming leaves every list you share with them and prevents either account joining a list containing the other. Other members keep their access. In You → Blocked people you can unblock someone; this does not automatically rejoin a list.

Cards at the checkout

Add cards with your camera, an image, or a number. Open a saved card to show its code. Tap Open larger code for a full-screen view; long barcodes turn sideways to use more of a portrait screen. Keep the screen bright and let the cashier scan it. If scanning fails, show the original image when available or ask them to enter the number. Some retailers require their own app or a physical card; acceptance is up to the retailer.

Store reminders

In You, turn on Store reminders. On iPhone, allow notifications and set Location to Always when iOS asks. You may need to open iPhone Settings → Apps → Lissle → Location to change this after the first prompt. Lissle prepares up to 20 nearby shops when opened or brought back into view.

iOS controls when a store boundary is detected. Detection can be delayed, and force-quitting the app, turning off location, or changing system settings can stop reminders. Open Lissle again after travelling to prepare shops in the new area. Store information comes from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete. These reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee.

On the website, nearby shops can only be checked while Lissle is open. Background store reminders need the iPhone app.

Occasion reminders

Add an occasion in Dates, then enable Occasion reminders in You. The iPhone app prepares reminders at 9am, a week before, the day before, and on the day. It schedules the next 48 reminders; opening Lissle keeps them up to date. Mark a date sorted to stop its current reminders. Annual dates return next year.

Web reminders use a daily check and require browser notification permission. On iPhone, add the website to your Home Screen first. Device settings, Focus and network availability can affect delivery.

Without a connection

Previously loaded lists and cards may remain available on the same device. Private-list changes can wait for a connection to sync. Shared-list changes, reporting and blocking need an internet connection. You need the internet to start a guest profile, sign in, join a shared list, or find new nearby shops.

Invite a friend

In You, open Send to a friend. Send or copy your personal link. One credit is counted when a new friend joins through it and verifies an account within 30 days of creating it. Link taps and repeated shares do not count. Your private numbered badge shows your invitation total. There are no prizes or payments.

Remove your data

In You, choose Delete my account or Delete guest data. Registered users confirm their password. Your private lists, cards, occasions and account are deleted; shared items remain for others. If you cannot access your account, contact us from its email address so we can help verify ownership.
